Job Description: Collections Supervisor
Department - Collections
Status – Exempt, Full-Time
The External Vendor Collection Supervisor is responsible for leading Western Dental’s Agency Outsourcing team, managing the portfolio management process for 3 states and approximately 8 agencies currently executing strategic initiatives to drive net charge-off collections growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Understand and demonstrate the principles of the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values providing book and portfolio management with a focus to net performance of WD’s financial targets.
•Manage and perform necessary audits on external collection agencies.
•Establish and execute outsourcing and operations strategies to maximize agency collections while minimizing risks and managing agency and departmental expenses.
•Analyze various operating and portfolio management processes and related data to identify opportunities to implement increased agency productivity.
•Develop and implement agency strategic initiatives improving WD profitability through outsourcing, process improvement, revenue growth and cost diversification.
•Assist the In-House WD Agency team leveraging growth initiatives including strategy and business case development, staffing, system integration, workflow development and project management.
•Align and syndicate cross-functional initiatives with impacted departmental leaders. Monitor activity reports and all aspects of agency remits/financials to WD.
•Take a proactive approach working with Collection Manager and Vice President – Collections to ensure financial objectives and strategic plans are met.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•Education: Bachelor's degree in a business related field preferred.
•Experience: Proven people leadership experience, Internal Dialer and Collections Operations experience preferred.
•Language/Communication/Interpersonal: Ability to read, write and speak fluent English (Spanish preferred as well). Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and active listening skills. Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
•Analytical/Mathematical: Strong analytical skills with ability to identify improvement opportunities, evaluate options and develop agency solutions.
•Technical: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access, ability to use and manage large amounts of data through use of Pivot Tables, V Look-up, etc.
